Above is an archival Concerts-In-The-Park photo from 2018.  Concerts-In-The-Park has been a Belvedere tradition since 1998, and BCF has been a supporter every year.  This year BCF is also supporting the Belvedere Home-made Film Festival, coming to Community Park on October 4.  We’re excited to find out what stories our creative residents will want to tell.  For more information about the film festival or to submit an entry, visit https://bhmff.com/

As mentioned in the previous post, the deadline for submitting grant requests for the summer cycle is August 1.  This is a great time for your organization to submit a request for late summer and fall funding.  BCF will have one more grant cycle in 2024, with a deadline of October 1.  That cycle is perfect for winter or early spring events and programs, as the next grant cycle isn’t until March of 2025.  You will hear back from BCF within a month of the deadline date.  For more information or to submit a request, go to  https://belvederecommunityfoundation.com/grant-information/ .  All grant requests must be submitted through the website; we no longer accept paper applications.

The annual photo contest is live!  You can enter by following this link: https://belvederecommunityfoundation.com/wp/.  The contest will be open until November 3, and winners will be announced at the BCF Annual Meeting on November 21.  Enter early and often (up to five photos)!

Does your non-profit organization or citizens’ group have a project or event that will benefit Belvedere and the Tiburon Peninsula?  BCF welcomes grant requests.  Our summer deadline is rapidly approaching; submit your grant request online by August 1.  Please read our Grant Information Page for more information about applying.

Join us in Belvedere Park from 9:30-12:00 on Saturday, May 6th for a Belvedere Community Foundation-sponsored Shred-it event. Bring a box — or two — of documents that you’d like to have securely destroyed and any e-waste (discarded electrical or electrical devises, TV’s, computers, etc).  Shredding and e-waste recycling is FREE and done on site.

BCF’s mission is to help sustain Belvedere’s natural beauty and quality of life by encouraging and funding projects that enhance our community, cultivate generosity, and inspire volunteerism among all residents.

Our current funding cycle closes on March 1, and we would love to receive your request.

Get Ready! In 2022 BCF helped fund a disaster preparedness fair on McKegney Green

Happy January, do you have webbed feet yet?  Our happiness brims over as greatly as our reservoirs, now at 100% capacity for the first time in years.

BCF’s 2022 Annual Meeting last November featured a thank-you video from our grantees.  You may view it below.

We hope that you are staying dry and safe as Mother Nature showers us with an overabundance of rain. Sunny days will return; meanwhile, Marin’s reservoirs are 100% full for the first time in years.
