Concerts in the Park and Movie Night

BCF has been a proud sponsor of Belvedere Concerts-in-the-Park since its inaugural season in 1998. Two years earlier, as part of its centennial celebration, the City of Belvedere built a gazebo in the park adjacent to City Hall. A group of Belvedere citizens, realizing that the gazebo could serve as a concert stage, banded together to produce a series of free summer concerts in the park.  The series was so successful that Concerts-in-the-Park has become a staple of Belvedere summer life.

The series includes one Sunday concert during each summer month and finishes with a grand finale concert on the Sunday before Labor Day. Over the years almost every type of music has been featured, from opera and light classical offerings to Country, Jazz, Rock, and Pop. These Sunday concerts are a wonderful way for families to gather in the park and enjoy picnicking, lounging, dancing, and socializing. A recent innovation has been to invite local music groups to perform a short musical set at the beginning of the concert, thus providing even more “made in Belvedere” flavor to the event.
