Community Park Playground
Since
its opening in January 2004, Community Park
Playground has been the place to be for Belvedere's
youngest residents and their escorts. The
Belvedere Community Foundation is pleased
to have provided a $60,000 grant and assisted
in raising an additional $100,000 for this
project.
Concerts-in-the-Park
The
joy of Belvedere's Concerts-in-the Park is
irresistible. The Belvedere Community Foundation
is one of the primary underwriters of this
summer concert series, supporting idyllic,
music-filled afternoons with friends and

Belvedere-Tiburon Library
The
Community Foundation provided major funding
and served as a financial conduit for the
Belvedere-Tiburon Library when it was built
in 1997. The Belvedere Community Foundation
continues to support the Library as an "Open
Sunday" contributor and has pledged
$100,000 towards the Library’s expansion.

Community Park Gazebo
The
Community Park Gazebo was the Belvedere Community
Foundation's first major project. The Foundation
originated the idea and provided the funding.
The success of this project inspired the
creation of Concerts-in-the-Park and many
more projects.
Friday Nights on Main
Friday
Nights on Main Street is a community street
party, featuring local restaurants, merchants

Ark Row Art Festival
The
Belvedere Community Foundation provided $1,000
grant to help the Tiburon Chamber of Commerce
and the Downtown Development Committee stage
a two-day art festival along Ark Row. For

Summer Camp Scholarships
Each
year hundreds of local children attend one
of the outstanding summer camps offered by
the Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation Department.
These camps, staffed with enthusiastic trained
professionals, offer attendees a joyful and
enriching experience, building friendships,

Thermal Imaging Camera
The Tiburon Fire District has a state of
the art thermal imaging camera, thanks to
the Belvedere Community Foundation and the
Tiburon Peninsula Foundation, allowing firefighters
to locate victims quickly by detecting body
heat.
Belvedere Way Pocket Park
The pocket park at Belvedere Way provides
a wonderful place to take a breath and enjoy
the view as you walk around the island. The
Belvedere Community Foundation was pleased
to offer a substantial grant for the creation
of this jewel.
Daffodil Planting
The spectacular daffodils we see all over
town each spring are thanks to the hard work
of local volunteers and funding from the
Belvedere Community Foundation.
Richardson Bay Oil Spill Clean-Up
The
Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary
has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the
Belvedere Community Foundation in gratitude
for the Sanctuary’s tireless efforts
in their clean-up actions on our shores following
the catastrophic oil spill of November 2007.

Get Ready
In
commemoration of the 100 year anniversary
of the San Francisco earthquake and in the
wake of lessons learned from the Hurricane
Katrina tragedy, the project, “Get
Ready 94920”, undertook to get
all households on the Tiburon peninsula prepared
to survive a regional disaster. For more

Young Performers International
Young Performers International is a nonprofit
children’s performing arts company
which began in 2000 and has now expanded
with classes in three San Francisco Bay Area
counties with almost 250 students. Leela
Pratt, a Belvedere resident, is the Founder
and Executive Director of YPI. The Belvedere
Community Foundation (BCF) has made scholarship

Walk Your History
The
Belvedere Community Foundation was proud
to contribute $2,500 to a great community
event, Walk Your History, which took place
on Sunday, April 5, 2009 in Belvedere and
Tiburon. An estimated 1,000 people enjoyed
three walking loops on the Peninsula which
were dotted with over 100 volunteers. In
Belvedere Park, members of the Tiburon Fire
Department barbequed for nearly 600 people
who arrived for lunch with their stamped “Passports.”
Tiburon Salmon Institute
The Tiburon Salmon Institute (TSI) received
a $2,500 grant from the Belvedere Community
Foundation for the development of a unique
educational program for school-age children.
TSI plans to set up the tanks at the Romberg
Center in Tiburon and have teams of local
children run the tanks with Bay species in
each tank. Mentorship will be provided by
graduate students of the Romberg Center and
scientists from the California Academy of

Child Care See-Saw
After an electrical fire destroyed the Belvedere
Tiburon Child Care Center (BTCCC) on February
22, 2008, the community was pleased to help
them celebrate their grand “re-opening” on
Saturday, April 4, 2009. The completely new
and brightly colored playground includes
a four-person Quattro See-Saw donated by
the Belvedere Community Foundation.
